As a Mensendieck exercise therapist, I am a recognized paramedic and specialist in the field of posture and movement. I see you not only as someone with a physical complaint but as a person in general with his emotions, psychological problems, his social circumstances and his past. Whether you are a child or an elderly person with a bad posture, or have difficulty moving. Whether you have pain in your back or neck, have a chronic illness or condition - such as MS - or are pregnant.

As your personal coach, I work with you to improve your posture and movement. The treatment plan is tailored to you. You will be guided individually and you will be guided by an exercise program aimed at reducing complaints and preventing new complaints. You learn to move with a correct load on joints and muscles and thus discover an optimal way of moving.
Exercise therapy is also used to prevent complaints that occur in people who, for example, have to burden their bodies heavily during their work, or in pupils with a bad posture. The effectiveness of exercise therapy has been scientifically proven.

At the first visit to my practice, I take a history and research in order to map the origin and course of your complaints. This is followed by a physical examination that looks at the complaint and the limitations you experience.
If necessary, the treatment can also take place at home, upon referral from the doctor.
In consultation, a treatment plan is drawn up that takes into account your daily activities. You are encouraged to think about solutions yourself, so that you can make changes in posture and movement easier.
With the exercise program and the advice you receive, you start working at home. At each subsequent consultation an evaluation is made and the program is adjusted where necessary. At the end of the treatment follows a report that is sent to your doctor / referring doctor.

You are welcome to me with and without reference. If you come without a referral, there will first be a screening. This screening should reveal whether you are indeed at the right address with your complaint / request for help from the remedial therapist. If your complaint / request for help is not indicated for exercise therapy, I will advise you to go to the doctor. Conditions are not attached to it, so it basically does not matter what the care demand is or what the complaints are. If you are additionally insured, the screening is reimbursed as standard.

As a practice therapist I have a contract with all health insurers and your treatment is also reimbursed as such. Click here for the reimbursement list of all health insurers (NL).

The treatment of children up to the age of 18 takes place from the basic insurance.

If you have a chronic condition and it occurs on the Chronic chronic list, the first 20 treatments are reimbursed from the supplementary insurance. From the 21st treatment, this is reimbursed from the basic insurance.
